This book is a guide, presented in a way that breaks down each state’s sex offender registration and notification laws by what I believe are the most life-impacting restrictions and requirements. This includes where to find each state’s law, what offenses require registration in each state, how soon and for how long a person must register and how frequently he or she must verify information, what information is collected and/or published, whether a person can be removed from the registry early, what restrictions are imposed on persons forced to register in each state, what the punishments are for violating these laws and restrictions, and other information that can help those subject to, or impacted by, the registration and notification laws.
